Essential oils are great tools for reducing stress, enhancing any healing modality you are using, and as recovery and coping tools unto themselves. As an example, In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Ophelia says ” Rosemary, that”s for remembrance.” This particular herb and its essential oil do indeed enhance memory, by up to 75%. So much so that it haws been shown effective by the traditional Medical system in tests. Did you also know, that it is used in muscle and joint pain remedies, and for Aching muscles, arthritis, dandruff, dull skin, exhaustion, gout, hair care, muscle cramping, neuralgia, poor circulation, rheumatism ?
Rosemary, because I love the lovely blue flowers and its fresh spicy aroma was picked as my short example. There are hundreds of Essential oils available, and blending appropriate essential oils for a specific purpose is an art and a science unto itself – and it smells really great!
I just made a wonderful relaxation blend of aromatherapy oils for a client, who was very stressed and asked for a special blend. Frankincense, blood orange, sweet orange, lavender Ylang Ylang are some of what went into the blend, mixed up right in front of her.
Yes I carry a fairly wide selection of essential oils and base oils in my blending cabinet JUST so I can make up a special blend on request. You may also request a custom blend if you need one, describe what you are trying to adress , or take a recommendation from any of the therapists at EHM and a custom blend can usually be made on the spot!
